This seven-night itinerary offers the very best of Tanzanian wilderness! Enjoy the highlights of Northern Tanzania with your family in some our favourite properties. Starting with an overnight stay at Legendary Lodge, the name says it all. Sublime luxury in the city. Enjoy an afternoon relaxing after your flight in the stunning tropical gardens. The following morning your adventure begins! Your private driver and guide will meet you at the lodge and whisk you away to Gibbs Farm, located on the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Children will delight at the activities on offer. After breakfast head off to the Ngorongoro Crater, or experience farm life on this beautiful working farm. Milk cows, roast coffee, bake bread, harvest vegetables (and enjoy them at lunch!), look out for the huge variety of stunning birds on sight or enjoy an afternoon walk to the nearby waterfalls.
After 3 nights at Gibbs, your guide will transfer you to the Four Seasons in the heart of the Serengeti National Park. Children will thrive at the Kijana Kids Club on site, while Mum and Dad unwind in the spa between game drives. Between you and your guide, you will decide whether you enjoy morning and evening game drives, full day game drives or perhaps just one a day, it's completely up to you and your guide. After 3 x nights at the Serengeti you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Kilimanjaro.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you will be met by a member of the The Big Game Tours team who will transfer you by road to your hotel.
On this day, you will be met by your private driver who will transfer you by road to the Ngorongoro Crater. spend the full day discovering the woodlands, the wide-open plains of the Crater floor and lakes. Some of the animals to spot include elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, lion, hippo, ostrich among other wild animals. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon.
After breakfast you will depart with your private driver to the Serengeti National Park passing through the Malanja Depression towards Olduvai Gorge. Stop and visit the museum featuring the famous Zinj skull, the Zinjanthropus man of 1.8 million years ago, whose remains were found here by Dr. Leakey. You will then proceed onwards through the Naambi Gate entering the southern plains and making your way over to the central regions of the park.
Today you will be transferred to the Seronera airstrip for your light aircraft to Kilimanjaro Airport. Here you will connect with your onward flight home
